The Historic Glove Collection is housed in the Museum of Costume, Bath. Whilst some of the gloves are on display, it is not possible to show permanently the entire collection because of constraints of space. However, the Museum will gladly make arrangements to show the collection by private appointment.
The Company, in conjunction with the Museum of Costume will also make the collections available to be used in the interest of the glove industry and society in general and will consider applications for their loan providing they are satisfied as to the purpose and that those concerned guarantee to cover the necessary expenses and observe the conditions and safeguards laid down by the Company and the Museum.
Anyone who has details of other Glove collections for us, or is interested in viewing our collections or in the loan arrangements, should in the first instance contact our Learned Clerk.
The Clerk of the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London is Monique Hood and she can be contacted by email on gloverslondon@aol.com.
