Printing was another means of decorating gloves in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century period. Fine white kid leather lent itself well to the process of printing from an engraved copper plate and a number of different patterns were devised for gloves. Printed gloves were chiefly produced in Spain and imported into this country.
